Segment 1 - US Census 2010
Vinay Khanna is an IIT Kanpur graduate and an MBA from Wayne State University. He is a long term bay area resident who has worked in technology world for over 22 years in the areas of Marketing and Sales. After retiring he enjoys teaching and consulting. Currently he serves as a team leader for US Census 2010 South Asian community outreach mission.


Segment 2 - Indian Cuisine
Executive Chef Vittal Shetty did his Bachelors in Hotel Management from AMC college, Bangalore University, during his catering college days Vittal developed a passion for professional cooking. After his graduation he two years senior kitchen training program  at prestigious O.C.L.D (Oberoi Center for Learning & Development). And started his culinary career in The Oberoi New Delhi, where he headed the French restaurant “la Rochelle” & Banquet section as sous chef, here his guest list included prime ministers of India & Sri Lanka, Chancellor of Germany, high profile media, political & corporate guests.

Segment 3- India Jazz Suites
Farah Yasmeen Shaikh has been trained by Pandit Chitresh Das for over 14 years, has toured with his company to India seven times and throughout the United States including the American Dance Festival in North Carolina. She has also performed as a soloist in Mumbai, New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles and here in the Bay Area. Farah is a senior instructor at Pandit Das’ institution, Chhandam, directing the Mountain View branch of the school. In addition to Farah’s career as a dancer, she is the Director of the Individual & Corporate Giving Program for the Chitresh Das Dance Company & Chhandam School of Kathak.

Rachna Nivas has been studying with Pandit Chitresh Das since 1998.  In addition to being a solo artist in her own right, she has performed in several award-winning company productions and has toured throughout the U.S. and India.  Rachna is known for her pioneering use of the harmonium while singing and dancing at the same time through Pandit Das innovation of Kathak Yoga.  In addition to being a senior instructor and director of the San Francisco and Union City branches of Chhandam, Rachna is the School Administrative and Outreach Coordinator.
