Anand Raghavan -
Asha for Education
Anand is a “serial volunteer” whose involvement with nonprofits started during his undergraduate years at IIT. He has been involved with Asha for Education since 1999, most recently as the President of Asha in the US until 2008. When he is not involved with Asha and other education related nonprofits, he divides his time between his exciting new job at a small startup called Blue Jeans Network and his eighteen month old son Adi.
Murali Krishnamurthy - Sankara Eye Foundation
Murali was born in Chennai and grew up in Chennai, Tiruchi, Pune, Bangalore and Coimbatore. I have a BE in Electronics & Communications Engineering from REC Trichy and a Masters in Computer Science from Southenr Illinois University, Carbondale. I settled in the Bay Area in 1984. Worked for various companies and now I am the Executive Chairman of SEF, USA. My wife is Kala, we live in the Evergreen area and we have two daughters Janani and Madhavi. In 1998 Muali founded Sankara Eye Foundation with his brother Sridharan his San Jose neighbor Ahmad Khushnood of Pakistan.
Ethan Veneklasen - American India Foundation
Ethan Veneklasen has serves as Executive Director-West Coast of the American India Foundation and oversees the William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India and the AIF Digital Equalizer Program. Upon graduating from the University of Rochester, he moved to Washington, DC, where he established a winning track record, managing campaigns and advising candidates ranging from the state legislative to Presidential levels. Returning to the Bay Area in 1997, Ethan shifted focus from electoral politics to public policy as advocate at the local, state and federal level for infrastructure investment and economic development and joined AIF in 2007.
In his free time, he enjoys running, cricket and vegetarian cuisine.
